Mysterian- Chapter 2: Cordelia

Hi guys, I'm back again, with another chapter of Mysterian coming up. Hope you enjoy! This is in the opinion of Cordelia, the Pyrobryne heir. Please leave a comment! ;)

That idiot. I can't believe it. An ability from outside his family? The Kryobrynes can't do that. The arrogant brats only control ice. No, no. This can't be. They've got a Kryobryne- Chalcedony heir. No. To the underworld with them. The Chalcedoni own the most land in Lufrya. We've got bad news, and who has to bear it? Me, poor me.

I run, almost flying, to my home. The butler, Alden, opens the door. He was a Pyrobryne, until one day, he decided to run off with a Uswana, a low and weak house. My great aunt, Jacquetta, Dowager Duchess of Astrel, was furious. She burned his clothes with a single glance, and he was thrown out of the family. He was second in line to inheriting the lands. The girl- no older than eighteen- left him, and he had nowhere to go. Poor Alden came back. Great aunt Jacquetta was kind on him. He had a place to live, three meals a day, but he would serve as butler to all the younger Pyrobrynes.

Great aunt Jacquetta was not happy when she heard the news. Who would? We had a real threat, not just the puny Kryobrynes, but from the Chalcedoni? They owned the northwest and most of the northeast, bordering the Kryobrynes, who owned the east. We owned the south, all the way to the Ushea Hills, which was owned by the Uswana. There are many houses beyond the hills, but they are weak. This will not end well.

Mysterian- Chapter 1: Hugo-Iaian

I cling to the edge of the railing. I feeling the wind blowing against my face. The river rushes beneath my feet. The sky is gray with gloom. The rain is battering the ground around me. I laugh, throwing all worries to the wind. They are taken away, blown furiously to some other place.

"I don't see what's so funny." a voice behind me said. I turned to see a girl, violet eyes and white hair. "This is my river, this land belongs to the House of Kryobryne." I shot back,  slightly amused. She laughs, "You ignorant pig. This belongs to the glorious Pyrobrynes, who will burn you with their minds, power flowing from their  eyebrows."

That was a horrible metaphor, and I can't resist smiling. The Pyrobrynes were our rivals, our bitter enemies since the Showdown of 1756( which we won, but they're too proud to admit it). They have so much Comfurlc blood in them. It just shows how irresponsible they are. There have been so many kerfuffles between our two families, that we have almost been discovered.

"Whatever, manure brain." I said. Suddenly, an inferno burst at me, but a gust of shining material shot up, defending me. I'm so overwhelmed by the heat that I fly backwards, my head landing on the damp grass. I see these diamond-like jewels all around me.

I'm surprised she could throw fire, their blood is so impure they hardly had heirs. I'm sorry, I didn't tell you about Mysterians and Ersagists. Well, I'll tell you now.

Hey guys, if anybody is reading my first ever post. Please leave a comment or whatever,  I'll post at least once a week. See ya later guys!
